Cosmetic Systems Implementation
We help cosmetic companies implement and connect their R&D, compliance, and production systems — so they can launch products faster and with fewer errors.
Discover What We Do →Most cosmetic companies don't fail because they lack software. They fail because their systems don't talk to each other, their teams don't use them properly, and implementation is always too shallow.
About
LUMIERE VI was founded by Véronique Iyer — a specialist at the intersection of cosmetic industry operations and enterprise systems. With over two decades working across R&D, regulatory, and production environments at prestige beauty groups, she has lived the exact fragmentation problems our clients face.
Our value is not in building software from scratch. It is in knowing the cosmetics industry deeply enough to configure existing platforms correctly, connect systems that were never designed to speak to each other, and train teams to actually use them. That combination is rarer than most companies realise.
We work with a focused set of tools — including Redin, IDbase, and leading ERP and compliance platforms — and bring the industry context that turns a generic implementation into a workflow that genuinely fits how a cosmetic business operates.
Clients range from independent prestige brands building their first serious systems infrastructure, to established groups whose platforms have grown disconnected and whose teams have found workarounds rather than solutions.
What We Do
Our engagements are structured around where you are in your systems journey — from a first serious implementation through to connecting a fragmented landscape of tools across your entire operation.
You have the software. You don't have the cosmetics expertise to configure it for how your business actually runs. We set up the system correctly, build the workflows, train your teams, and stay until it works — not just until it's installed.
Your tools exist. The problem is they don't talk to each other. R&D data lives in one place, compliance in another, production in a third. We design the workflow layer that connects them — eliminating duplication, manual hand-offs, and the errors that follow.
The best software companies often begin as services businesses. Once we have seen the same gap across enough implementations — a workflow no existing platform solves well — we build for it. This is where LUMIERE VI's services work points long-term.
The Reality
The software exists. The problem is almost never the software. After hundreds of hours inside cosmetic operations, the same four failure patterns appear — and they are all solvable.
R&D data in one platform. Compliance in another. Production in a third. Supplier data in email. Nobody designed the connections, so every handoff is manual — and every manual handoff is a potential error or delay.
The platform was purchased and installed. Training was a single session. Teams reverted to spreadsheets and workarounds within weeks. The system is technically live but operationally invisible — and the investment is lost.
Formula versions without clear lineage. Ingredient records that don't match across markets. Compliance documentation that is manually reconstructed for every submission. The data exists — but it is ungoverned and untrustworthy.
The vendor configured the system for a generic workflow, not for how a cosmetics business actually runs. R&D cycles, stability testing timelines, regulatory approval gates, and supplier qualification workflows require deep industry knowledge — not a standard onboarding playbook.
Services
Each service is designed specifically for cosmetic companies — not adapted from a generic consulting model. We understand your product lifecycle, your regulatory environment, and your operational constraints.
Full setup and configuration of formulation management platforms (Redin, IDbase, and equivalents) for how cosmetic R&D teams actually work. Includes formula versioning, raw material libraries, stability tracking, and submission-ready dossier workflows. We configure for your products — not the default demo.
Connecting compliance platforms to R&D and production systems so regulatory data flows automatically — not manually. Covers EU Cosmetics Regulation, FDA requirements, CPNP submission workflows, safety assessment data management, and multi-market labelling governance.
Standard ERP systems are not built for cosmetic manufacturing's complexity — batch size variables, raw material grade splits, shelf-life and stability constraints, and packaging variant proliferation. We configure and extend ERP platforms to handle these realities correctly.
Building and governing a single, trusted ingredient and supplier data environment — eliminating the parallel spreadsheets, email chains, and inconsistent records that slow down both R&D and compliance. Includes supplier onboarding workflows, CoA management, and raw material qualification.
Software that teams don't use delivers no value. Our training programmes are built for cosmetics professionals — not generic IT users. Role-specific training for formulators, regulatory affairs teams, production managers, and quality assurance. Includes process documentation and change management support.
For companies that already have systems but suspect they are underperforming. A structured audit of your current landscape — identifying disconnects, data quality failures, workflow gaps, and unused capability — followed by a prioritised remediation plan with clear commercial outcomes attached.
The Method
Our process is designed for the cosmetics industry's specific rhythms — regulatory calendars, product launch timelines, and the reality that operational teams can't pause to accommodate a consultancy's preferred schedule.
We map your current technology landscape, data flows, and workflow reality — not the intended design, but what is actually happening day to day. This includes interviewing formulators, regulatory teams, production managers, and QA. The gaps between designed and actual workflows are where the problems live.
A detailed configuration and integration plan specific to your products, markets, and team structure. Defines which systems will be configured, which will be connected, in what sequence, and what the measurable outcome is at each stage. Built around your launch calendar, not ours.
Hands-on configuration of your platforms to match how your cosmetics operation actually works. This is not a software vendor's default setup. It reflects your formula complexity, your regulatory footprint, your supplier structure, and your production constraints. Every workflow is tested against real products.
Connecting systems that need to share data — so a formula change in R&D flows correctly to compliance, production, and procurement without manual re-entry. We design the workflow layer that sits across your platforms, defining what moves where, when, and under what conditions.
Role-specific training delivered to the people who will actually use the systems — not the IT team. Formulators learn what formulators need. Regulatory affairs staff learn their workflows. Production managers learn theirs. Includes written SOPs and a structured handover so dependency on LUMIERE VI ends cleanly.
Defined KPIs from the start: time to regulatory submission, formula iteration cycles, batch error rates, compliance filing lead times. We review against these at 30, 60, and 90 days post-implementation and make adjustments. The goal is measurable operational improvement, not a system that merely exists.
Systems we work with
Perspectives
We had Redin for two years and were barely using 30% of it. LUMIERE VI came in, understood how our formulation team actually worked, and rebuilt the whole configuration around us. Within three months our dossier preparation time had halved.
The integration between our formulation system and our compliance platform was always manual — someone copying data between systems before every submission. LUMIERE VI eliminated that entirely. We haven't had a compliance data error since.
What sets LUMIERE VI apart is that Véronique actually knows how a cosmetics company works. She knew what questions to ask our formulators. She understood the regulatory constraints before we explained them. That made the implementation fast and genuinely fit for purpose.
Get in Touch
Every engagement begins with an honest conversation about where your systems are today and what a realistic improvement looks like. No obligation, no generic proposal — just a direct discussion with someone who understands your industry.
